MailerBee for SMS

MailerBee offers three variants to do SMS Marketing, these are made available in three different subscription types.

  • Notification SMS Panel
  • SMS Campaigner
  • Complete Campaigner

 

Different types of subscriptions

 

Notification SMS Panel

This subscription type can be used for sending plain textual SMSs, what we call Notification SMS, what we call Notification SMS. Notification SMS should primarily be sent in geographies where there is no access to phone networks that provides mobile broadband access. The messages can be up to six consecutive messages long shaped as one so the maximum size of a message (for most countries, but not all) are 160 * 6 = 960 characters (just be aware of that 6 SMSs will be used too).

Primary usage:

  • Notification messages could be used for non-commercial offers where there is no need for follow-up or check statistics
  • Send offers to geographies where the mobile network coverage doesn’t support mobile broadband access.

 

SMS Campaigner

This subscription type is used to send Campaigner SMS. The subscription supports statistics and newsletters. This means that your customers can present their offers in a really attractive way. Using the statistics they will know how opened the newsletter, the clicks, what offer got the most clicks etc.

Primary usage:

  • send offers and information in an appealing way that engages and converts.
  • send offers to geographies where the mobile network coverage does support mobile broadband access.

 

Complete Campaigner

Complete Campaigner is basically the SMS Campaigner combined with email marketing. Your customers can do either. The Complete Campaigner comes with a feature rich email marketing package with loads of resources.

Primary usage:

  • send offers and information in an appealing way that engages and converts.
  • send offers to geographies where the mobile network coverage does support mobile broadband access.
  • send offers using email marketing where the profitability for an SMS campaign might not be sufficient enough, or where the customers are more sales funnel oriented where they start by sending an SMS Campaign and then follow-up with email marketing

Will a campaign with notification SMS be successful? No one knows. Notification SMS are great for broadcasting important messages fast. If the receivers are in a country where the mobile network support mobile broadband, then there is no real argument to send Notification SMSs.

So if you want to be on top of your marketing efforts, then Notification SMS is not for you, simply because there is no way to format it well in a selling way, the messages will just be plain text. There will be no statistics, no nothing.

Please note that we buy SMS in bulk on a daily basis to be able to give our customers the best ever prices, so prices might go down, but they might also go up. This is why we give price indications. The final price given is when we have a contract for a certain campaign and at which date it should be run. For transactional SMSs speed is not critical so we have negotiated extremely good deals.


If the transactional SMS reaches the receiver, it can be considered successful. Ours will reach the receiver.

Will a campaign with transactional SMS be successful? NO! You can't run campaigns with transactional SMS. Since every SMS takes up to 2 secs to send (let's assume 1.5 secs in this example), that would mean that if you would be running it as a campaign with 500,000 SMS, it would take 750,000 seconds, which equals 208 hours and 20 minutes to reach all your receivers. This in turn equals 8 days and 1.5 hours.

Transactional SMS can be this slow since its purpose is -eh- transactional. It should be used by a computer sending e.g. passwords resets, user account validations, trip booking confirmations etc.

Many companies sells SMS meant for transactional use, but as promotional SMS. We don't do that. All our promotional SMSs are sent on high speed connections. If you buy cheap SMSs, then be aware of this speed issue. Very cheap SMSs usually come with low speed and low quality, sometimes even sent in ways that might get you banned.
